Of course the government wants total control of the internet. I mean who is so naive to not think that they do. Everything is about control and submission, they are the monopoly on force, they self-declared themselves to have total rights over everything.
So a government is essentially like a God, but a wrathful evil God like Seth. All the surveillance, the eye in the sky, the total control, makes to look the government like a deity itself that humans are worshipping. And unfortunately this time it's a real one.
So of course they want control over the internet. The 
But this is not what I want to talk about. What I'm highlighting here is that they are trying to come over and control entirely the internet. Noam Chomsky basically said that the TPTB have figured out already that a population that is not under strict control, will eventually strive for freedom, and eliminate the oppressor.
They really really really don't want this to happen. The internet really makes people harder to govern, as John Kerry said.
The internet just gave people 1 power, 1 power only, that is unacceptable for the tyrant. The power to communicate with multiple people at once, on large scale. This is unacceptable:
- As soon as the printing press was invented, the king immediately issued a license, and only those given the license could publish. Everyone else was forbidden to do so.
- As soon as the radio was invented, government quickly started regulating the frequencies and radio spots available, and only allowed licensed radio hosts to talk.
- As soon as the TV was invented, only a government broadcast was available. Then later on they allowed "regulated" commercial broadcasts.
- And now the internet is available to speak your mind freely, and the government really really really really hates that.

So this is the mindset of the control freaks. No freedom for you, but all freedom for them to dominate you. This is the tyranny of the 21 century. Not with whips, shackles and swords, but with guns, tax forms, and license certificates.
This is modern slavery. And it's getting more and more obvious. If they would not attempt to control the Internet, then the game would be over, and in 10-15 years freedom would win over tyranny.
But it's going to be a longer struggle, they are now coming for free speech platforms: Facebook, Google, you name it. And say what you want about them. I don't like them either. But as immoral as they are by selling personal data, the government is much much worse. They are doing the same thing essentially, but nobody is criticizing them for doing it, everyone still thinks that they are the saviors.
Well, the tyranny is here, it's obvious now. The question is, what are people going to do about it. Will they let themselves become total slaves, or will they resist?
