My name is Confidence Nwinee. I was born in Nigeria in the year 1985.
I was raised by my mother alone because I lost my father at a tender age. Growing up as "an-only-child" taught me self-reliance and since things weren't groovy, I was taught the basic lessons life could offer and my priorities in life are ordered in line with these realities.
Currently, I'm at the mid-year of my voluntary national service. This national service was started after the civil war in order to foster love, tolerance, unity and patriotism amongst the different tribes and religions in Nigeria.
As a requirement, I am sent far away from my immediate locality to a different tribe with a culture that's different from mine and I'm expected to render selfless services to my host community, learn their ways and language as much as I can within one year of my voluntary service.
I am so proud to make my little contrition for the betterment of my fatherland.
Marital life
I am happily married to Mrs Purity Barineme and there hasn't been a reason to rethink going back to the days of bachelorhood. My wife is the true description of the word "love". She said "yes" to me and beyond that moved in with me even when I had very little to keep her comfortable. She told me not to worry, that things will get better sooner than we imagined. For me, that's love.
My Journey to self discovery.
I discovered my true calling as a writer in my sophomore at Abia State Polytechnic, studying computer science. This discovery started after reading the book titled "Live your dreams" by Les Brown. My interest for public speaking and writing quote was justified but at the same time my commitment to my course of study started depreciating. I couldn't just reconcile the two. Yes, I sincerely wish I had committed more interest in my studies while in school but the joy of living my dreams still over shadows that meager remorse.
I published my first work titled " The Cadence of Wisdom " in my final year and since then, I've written hundreds of quotes.
Currently I am beginning to delve into poetry.
Why steemit?
and I were friends back then in school. In fact, beyond friendship, he was my sales partner for the books we wrote individually. He knew me as a passionate writer and thought it wise to introduce me to steemit. Wow! Once I got here, I knew this is the place to share myself with everyone else and also learn from the vast and diverse wisdom here.
Beyond the "STEEM COIN" benefits, my greatest joy is to know that my work is reaching a vast audience and they are being enriched by my writings. I don't care which medium you choose to make me know that my quotes blessed you - JUST DO IT. And together, we will make steemit the place where people can visit and have their lives improved and by extension, we will have a better world.
My greatest aspiration.
My greatest aspiration in life is to be like Jesus Christ who laid down his life for us all. Not necessarily dying for the world like Jesus did but giving my totality for the good of others is worthwhile for me.
Also, I want to be remembered for impacting lives positively. Like Les Brown, I want to command the halls with the powers of my voice.
Thank you steemians. I hope to connect with you all as we work together to take steemit to greater heights.
