Hello Steemians!
it took me a while to decide that it's time to introduce myself to the community.
I am 28 years old, Moroccan, and I have been on steem in quiet some time now, yet I haven't been active until recently.
To tell you More about myself, I would like to start with the story behind the business I started couple years ago. I was taking graduate courses in international studies and diplomacy at that time, my studies were taking all my money and energy, I was broke, mentally and physically exhausted, I was severely depressed.
By that time I had a friend who accomplished the same Master's degree couple semesters before and was still jobless. His situation made me think again about the point of graduating myself. Was it really worth it to finish my degree and put in more effort and money to finally become jobless? And even if I get that job, will I be happy doing something I didn't like for the rest of my life?
The answer to both questions was NO
So, I decided that it's time to take some risk and find new alternatives. I thought that it would be better to invest the money that was supposed to go to the university's bank account in a startup. And that's exactly what I did... with the help of my elder brother who was a business graduate, I set my goals and planned for the steps that I had to go through one by one, till my project came to life.
I made the first Moroccan E-commerce platform that allows small retailers to sell their products online. My firm is growing slowly but surely and I do not regret taking such a big risk.
Afterall life is about taking risks, setting goals, planning and DOING!!
