At last after waiting a week I am writing my first Steemit!
I live in South Africa and at the moment we are in winter here, check the jacket.
at least we have sunshine in winter here. (we have our rain in summer)
I am retired and fairly computer literate. My husband and I have a small online
book-selling business. At least that means I have plenty of books to read.
I will mainly be writing about stories that happen to people.
So, here's the first one, hope you like it.
James and Paul were 15 years old, and best friends whose parents worked. They skipped
school fairly regularly and spent the day at Paul's home. The other problem they had was
how to get some wine to enjoy. Their solution was ingenious, they phoned the bottle store
and had it delivered to Mr Saxon.
They performed an experiment one day, play music and sing along and record it on a tape recorder.
At one point 'a shady tree' became 'a shrady tree'
One day the voice at the bottle store answered their order with "is this for Mr Saxon Senior or Junior'
The boys went back to school and were found out and you can imagine the rest of that story.
The boys are in their sixties now. Both have had successful careers and don't drink alcohol.
The are still friends and in fact we will all be going on holiday next week.
