Some of you may have already seen my posts, in the first post I briefly gave a little incite about myself. Sharing more:
I'm Fran, in my fifties, married who knows how long, we've been married we're at that 'room mate' stage, he does his thing I do mine. 25 year old son, still lives at home, believe me he wants out, currently seeking employment.
I've lived in VA all my life, grew up in the country, but currently live in the city Richmond,VA in the heart of the VCU campus. I love it here, the diversity is amazing, the busy area keeps me active, always something fun going on, love it.
I am currently a re-seller, hence the name #needmorestuff...got that name because every time I would get ready to leave out...I'd get that look 'where's she going' I'd just say I need more stuff, be back later. Now if I grab the key I get 'you need more stuff' Bye!
I've heard from co-workers you should be doing comedy, you should do amateur nite at the comedy club, you need to stop making me laugh I'm going to pee....HA...really it started as a small child, noticed make my parents laugh they don't punish me :). I love making people smile, laugh, ...I'm happy just bringing humor to the ones around me.
My journey has been full of humorous situations, though the years working temporary employment positions, banking, governmet, retail, production, food service, health, the list goes on & on. I have heard and seen some crazy things, learned somethings about myself, about others that are too funny not to share.
The last position, Human Resource Administrative Assistant was literally the straw that broke the camels back for me, you can take hearing so many times “we don't need you, or we don't need this department, outsourcing this department, or simply...new management takes over ….don't think I have to go on.
HR was the true wake up call, that was the start of 'becoming mentally strong' my heart goes out to all working in that field, CRAZY took on a new level working there...don't get me started yet anyway....we'll talk! :)
I decided time to go online finish my degree, calling myself (following in my mother's footsteps) a teacher until she retired in '76, figured it'll boost my resume ...later to realize it's not like when mom taught school, what have I done, started the Mary Kay scene thinking oh well, I can really focus on selling & doing the parties...no such luck, total fail, then a little light bulb went off one day get rid of it on eBay, I've always bought things there, wonder if I can sell things. I researched, watched and still watch other re-sellers, trying to improve. It's hard work don't let anyone tell you it's easy. Thankfully, I don't depend on the income to survive or let's just say you would not be reading this HA... but many make it a full time job.
I love the fact I'm in control of what I do with re-selling, not answering to the middle management guy, who takes it out on me, because his boss took something out on him, etc. ... the craziness becomes a domino effect ..well you will have to follow me to hear about the journey that bought me here, sometimes inspiring, sometimes sad, sometimes UN believable, mostly finding laughter ...in the world
around me better known as 'This Crazy Thing called Life'
Thanks for all that follow, and if your not already..well I hope you will!
Be-YOU-tiful!
