I haven’t written for an audience in a pretty long time, and I am kind of obsessive about my writing method. It usually takes me some time to figure out the angle I want to approach a subject from and complete it (or perhaps I can’t help but procrastinate). I have been on Steemit for two days and have already found what seems to be an infinite amount of interesting content. It’s important that content be organic and unfiltered, and it is on this site. I have never done Facebook because it didn’t take long for me to realize that there was a hidden agenda. It’s becoming harder and harder to find interesting content on the web, perhaps because most sites have become commercialized; original and thought-provoking ideas are not good for profit.
I have many interests, but of course there is a hierarchy to them. I don’t necessarily like categories or labels, although I recognize that it makes it more convenient to navigate the site. But when it comes to people and individuals, I think the broader the category the better. I don’t want to live in a compartmentalized society where we surround ourselves only with like-minded people. That is not what the human experience was meant to be.
I told myself that I’d keep this post short, and if I don’t stop myself now, this could turn into a Dostoevsky-type novel. I do very much look forward to learning and sharing with the rest of the Steemit community.
