Hello Steemasapians!
I am here to introduce you to a person named Varun Kini. That would be me.
Born to middle class family - destined to succeed, I was a person of very little interest in life. I did not have any motivation of doing well in school, sports or even becoming a people's favorite. Over pampered by my loved ones, I was given everything I needed in life.
Soon things started to get competitive, where I had to either succeed in school, or be humiliated for being a failure. I did all I could to keep my parents of my back. Joined an engineering college (like most of you), and started looking for my passion. Because in India, that's how you do things.
Within a few years of soul searching, the passion(s) I found were overwhelming. I realized how amazing knowledge is, and started to read, listen and watch anything informative I can. Soon, I was known for knowing things through my research.
I found passion in music, as I learnt guitar over time, and started composing a few songs of my own.
However, my biggest passion is to help the society, especially the underprivilidged. I developed that by being a part of an NGO (Make a difference), and established a skill set during my college time, which very few people possessed around me.
But alas! I graduated. I was under pressure again to not be humiliated, and to take up a job. I took up a full-time job in an NGO, tried to make a difference by planting trees and providing green cover to the planet through huge corporate companies from their CSR. But of course I could not make as much money for myself (people don't pay much to social workers), so then I had to take up a job in the corporate world. I joined a market research firm, into business development. Meanwhile, I volunteered in NGOs to keep my passion alive.
Recently, I realized I had spent 2 years of my life in the corporate world, which is enough for exposure, but a huge time investment for my career plan. So I left my job, in search of new ways to make society better.
My objective is to make videos on investigative journalism, as there is a huge lack of in India. Meanwhile, share my love for philosophy, by creating content for the same. Not expecting a lot of money in YouTube, I would like to try my hand at the Cryptocurrency market. I am a fool to have not been aware of this platform before, but as they say, better late than never! Thanks to my cousin , I have an opportunity to be a part of the rewarding platform of our time.
This is my story, and I wish to provide you all with informative, musical and innovative posts.
Stay tuned.
