So it was brought to my attention that there is an #introducemyself section. So...hello again 🤣 Let's try this one more time.
My name is Wolven but feel free to call me Kerri. I don't mind 😊 I'm not a hugely interesting person so here goes.
I'm a lifetime gamer, an avid writer and for the past few years I have also delved into the realm of content creation (in terms of streaming and video making).
In 2012 I tried my first hand at creative writing, I found it a pretty fun hobby and it helped me keep my mind off the stress of exams for a while. During this time I won a couple small contests, I helped edit and online (but by no means popular) web magazine as well as wrote a book (never seriously looked into getting it published) and started multiple stories of my own. 😂 I kept up my writing for a couple more years before education really took up my time and I kind of forgot about it. Since then I've been wanting to get back into writing (my first post is a case in point) but worried after so long my work wouldn't be as good. Suppose only time will tell.
In 2015 I started to dabble into streaming and video creating. Due to living arrangements back at the family home, it was never something I could take seriously. Affiliate here, Verified Partner there....They were pretty cool achievements to get but in the end it didn't hugely matter to me. It wasn't the 'career' path I was looking to get into but it greatly helped me build my self confidence and I've met so many awesome people during my time streaming/video creating. It's still something I plan to do in the future but I want to stress less about what 'goals' I'm hitting and just have fun with it. What's the point if it's not fun, right?
I didn't actually get into cryptocurrency/blockchain technology until the later months of 2018 (so yes, I'm still pretty new to it. I'm aware 😆 ) when I got into creating content a service that used a more simple (?) form of cryptocurrency as a donation/payment method. But again, this experience led me to meet some even more amazing people in the crypto space. It even gave me the opportunity to become a team member of which is something I thought I'd never get an interest in or even be accepted into in the first place. I think mixing blockchain technology with gaming really just makes sense as the next step for the gaming industry. Already you can see game publishers looking into it. I'm learning something new every day here so bear with me 😄 I've got a lot of catching up to do but looking forward to it. 😊
Other than that, last October (2019) I moved away from the UK and I'm now currently volunteering at a school in South Africa. 😊 Living off savings it's exactly fun but I planned ahead to make sure I had enough for my time down here. Otherwise, if I was still working I would have invested a good chunk of my spare change into Hive by now. 🤣
But yeah, that's me. Think this is the most detailed 'About Me' I've ever done but hey, hopefully it wasn't a complete bore. As a 'Thank You For Reading', he's a gif of my dog. Had to leave him behind when I moved and the lad will be turning 14 years old this year. Bless him 😍
