Hi everyone I'm from New Zealand (beautiful clean green New Zealand) and while I may not be Mary Poppins, or anyone else with magical powers, I am somewhat of a homemaker (or at least I try to be), so I thought it'd be nice to share with you some of my projects around the house, recipes, plants, etc
There used to be a big old tree over the back fence that the Tuis loved to sit in and sing every morning, and while I understand they needed to cut it down I do very much miss those beautiful Tui songs right outside. I noticed the Tui have a fondness for the Harakeke seeds that grow alongside the shared walkway, so I gathered some seeds to try growing them at home, turns out they require a lot of patience.
I planted them several months ago and nearly gave up on them, but finally a few weeks back one of them germinated, so I decided to keep at it, now there are several more poking their little green tips above the soil. persistence pays off
Whilst clearing out the back area we also found a random bulb, planted it and now it's putting out some gorgeous blooms. My sister also had some mystery seeds I planted, still waiting to see what they turn into. Feel free to comment if you know what either of these are, and thank you in advance.
As the Harakeke continue to grow ever so slowly I shall keep you posted from time to time regarding their progress.
Until then you will find plenty of other equally riveting topics here. I do hope you enjoy them and thank you for reading.
