A friend of mine kindly pointed out that I have never actually written an "introduce yourself" post, so here it is!
Hi everyone! My name is Alana and for the most part I travel. Currently I'm in Vietnam for an undetermined amount of time. I have no idea what life will look like after August, nor where I will be, but I kind of like living my life that way.
Often people will plan their lives in excruciating detail, and when things change or don't follow said plan, they experience a sense of failure, disappointment, or anger. I have definitely been there, and I do not like it one bit. I am a planner, an organizer, living an unplanned life and loving it. The boyfriend and I quit our full time jobs in September 2016 and we now teach English as a second language online to earn the little money we require to cover travel costs. Instead of constantly paying for accommodation, we house/pet sit as much as possible, which takes a huge financial burden off of our shoulders. I also fancy myself a writer. I have dabbled in blogging, short stories, novels (though nothing substantial is finished/published), but I have never really found myself latching onto one thing over the other. Therefore, most of my projects remain unfinished as I battle my own shortcomings, along with being busy teaching English and exploring new places every few weeks!
Well anyway, that's a little bit about me for now! I hope to keep posting once in a while (or hopefully more often!) about my travels!
