How to start an introduction of oneself? Mmmm...
The first thing that pops to mind is to start with a typical but yet knowledgeable quote or saying, such as: 'In the English dictionary, introduction is defined as a formal presentation of one person to another, in which each is told the other's name,' she says while doing an impersonation of a rich lady in Beverly Hills with her nose in the air. Fact number one, I have quite the sense of humor when it comes to writing or trying to explain myself to others.
On that note. My name is Alicia, and I am a passionate and honest writer, photographer and aspiring entrepreneur.
I have always been the kid, and now the young woman, who had to ask numerous follow up questions instead of just nodding and excepting what I was told. I was born curious and most of all creative.
Therefore, deciding to pursue a career in journalism was obviously the right choice, but along the way I had to learn that many experiences would be laid upon my journey to greatness.
Luckily I was raised in a home where I was allowed to experiment and make my own decisions before I just fell into anything or worse, forced into doing something I was not destined for.
My parents helped shape me into the independent woman I am today that can freely make decisions (not always the right ones) and learn to stand up when I fall down.
I can bore you for days on end with lovely childhood stories of riding my bicycle and baking mud cakes, to career choices at age six, but I have decided to introduce you to the 24-year-old me who is living life and making a success of sharing passions, feelings and most of all, stories.
Not only do I love writing, but I am a strong believer in capturing memories whether its in word or in photo form. In my case, there is always more photos being taken than words being flung around on paper. My mother and best friends will vouch that I am one of the most neurotic people when it comes to photos. You can NEVER have enough.
Yes, I am the girl standing on a random rock on the top of some monument, leaning over the edge with a selfie stick in one hand and a thumbs up on the other, getting the angle just right to portray the amazing view in the background.
I am in love with life itself, and sharing memories and thoughts are most definitely one of my favourite hobbies (aside from traveling and attending music festivals all over the country, oh the stories I can tell you).
