AnarcoRepublican will seem as a contradiction to most, but remember that the context of origin must be taken into account. For example, the word Republican can appear an almost polar opposite in meaning when viewed from an American point of view, compared Spanish or Irish point of view. The word Anarchist can equally have almost equally polar opposite meanings to some, from peace loving anthropologist to molotov throwing insurrectionist. It is in defining my collage of these two words, that will describe me - which is the topic of my 1st post to steemit, an introduction.
Anarchist. No rulers, no masters and no borders. It couldn't be more simple than that. There exists within the masses of people in society a wide spectrum of traits across individuals. Its as plain to see as the growing slums contrasting against the advance of the futuristic smart city. Within our species there are those that are giving, those that are more peaceful, a lesser minority that are aggressive etc - a whole spectrum of personality traits. Under the theory of mutual aid, the majority of our intelligent species are social and thus mutual, a repeating trait across intelligent species (with a handful of exceptions, e.g. the octopus). We need to share information to be intelligent - but there exists a minority of us that are more selfish than others. An obvious result of individuality, and not a problem in its own right, that is - once we don't let this selfish and greedy minority within our society run amok with the systems in the macro. I'm fairly sure that, from any political point of view, a thought experiment of what could happen shows the danger of this.
Accountability. This beautifully simple solution creates a barrier that hampers the ability for the more selfish and greedy minority of us to gain control over the majority of us, to own us - and that is exactly what they will do by the pure definition of their nature - if there is a lack of accountability. Masters and rulers own people. Where there should appear accountability we will only find shackles and shackles of any type are a dangerous contradiction to our species, whether they are in the form of metal or laws, tax's, movement restrictions, etc. How can a social species communicate, share information or practice their natural mutual ways when they are shackled? Also how can people share information efficiently if there are borders between them?
To me borders are only the result of a lack of accountability in the macro as they are the tool of the master and ruler. They are the result of feudalism, of monarchism, of nation-statism. Imaginary lines in the dirt that are drawn by aristocrats and used by a minority to own the majority. The result is that they are continuously creating unnecessary big-fish / little-fish competition between nation states. A perpetual series of cold and hot wars that are never fought by the unaccountable minority. Instead they are fought by the victims of patriotism, a manipulated sense of community hypnotized into the individual by their relative owners.
Res publica, Wikipedia defines this Latin word as so: "... a literal translation is, 'the public thing/affair'". It leads to the theory of the Republic, to governance of the people, governance by the people. To me it is the study of the macro above our heads from a systemic point of view so that we can develop a social contract between the individuals and society, locally and regionally. Its about how we communally agree to the systemic relationships between us and this macro. Systemically this macro will have its more efficient forms and inefficient forms. Whilst there are no lines in the dirt representing current borders, there do exist very clear lines in the dirt that humans have been creating consistently. These are our communities, our districts, cities and their surrounding towns. These physical marks on the planet can easily be seen from above - you cant miss them. Like nodes in a network they pulse and vibrate and are interestingly linked together by only two types of connections: communication and transport. All that is needed in the macro is the management of these two connections, nothing in the macro should exist for anything else.
There are many barriers to our fundamental nature in existence that must be enforced, they are not naturally developed as we have been led to believe. An example of a systemic contradiction within our 'public affair', a systemic relationship between us and the macro, is segregation. How can we be human, share and interact with each other, if we are segregated? It is a systemic contradiction and has existed in the feudal state, in the monarch state and in the nation state. A consistent form of segregation we will find is class segregation, always implemented through scarcity and enforced through violence.
In my eyes the existence of segregation - even class - is a clear indication of a lack of accountability, allowing the greedy and selfish rise to the top, to play havoc with the macro for their own gain. It creates completely inefficient situations such as when the more selfish and greedy person can get further than the better person for the job. Segregate people more, by race, religion or creed and the contradiction grows, thus the violence created gets worse. Even with the massive differences between races or religions themselves, they have existed in harmony with each other countless times, when ever there is no segregation enforced from above.
We can engineer the systemic tangle of web, lies and torture that allow greedy the selfish to rule - out of existence, I believe. If we don't then either this or the next generation will have to do it by force. If neither happen, well then welcome to dystopia and probable end to our sociable, intelligent species.
This is me and revolution from the bottom up is practically all I am about - I also meditate, sometimes :P
