Hello Steemit Friends!
My name is Anthony and I’m a certified wine and spirits expert from Toronto, Canada. I’ve been working in the wine and spirits industry since I was 17 years old and I’ve spent the last 8 years studying and travelling the world in search of the world’s best drinks.

I joined Steemit for two reasons. Firstly, I love sharing my passion for wine and spirits and have been doing so for many years already through various Canadian publications including Eligible Magazine and the Bay St. Bull. Secondly, I believe strongly in potential cryptocurrencies have in changing the world and I’m keen on participating in the revolution.
My life in the world of wine actually began as a child, when I spent every fall helping my Italian grandfathers make wine in their garages. These experiences engrained in me the value of cultural tradition and will forever be tied to my love for my family.
When I graduated high school, I got a part-time job in a winery where I learned many new techniques in winemaking and began to develop my sense of taste. It was here where I began to take my interest in wine more seriously, and I started studying wine formally through of the Wine and Spirits Education Guild.
My expert opinion is, "I think this wine smells red"
After many years of study and practice I became a certified wine and spirits specialist along with earning my diploma in Food and Beverage Management from George Brown College’s Centre for Hospitality and Culinary Arts (The Canadian equivalent to the Culinary Institute of America). My time at George Brown also gave me the opportunity to travel the world, visiting many of the world’s most important wine and spirit producing regions.

With my blog on Steemit I want to help others share in my passion for wine. I hope to write informative posts covering a wide range of topics like discussing regional wine styles and various grape varieties. I am also very passionate about the business of wine and hope to write about the multibillion dollar global industry. I will also cover the cultural and aesthetic principles of wine, covering topics from the philosophy of taste and the history of wine in society.
Aside from wine, I am also a DJ here in Toronto and a passionate dog lover so I may from time to time write about those topics as well.
I am very excited to start sharing more content with this community and hope what I write interests all of you as well
Cheers,
Anthony
