I'm Arifah, 20 going on 21, a Muslim from Malaysia. I’ve been passionate about writing ever since I knew how to string sentences together from words and I've been blogging for over a decade thanks to my Mum. I recently completed my fifth semester for my Diploma in Communication and Media Studies.
My interests include Islam, all artsy things, books, Disney films, advertising, traveling, social media, photography, psychology, and learning new things every day. I am a nerd who loves scrolling through Quora, listening to TED talks and watching movies about magic and superheroes. I'm also a proud INFP!
Random facts about me:
- I'm currently Head of Social Media for #NALS2018, the biggest youth summit in Malaysia (3000+ registered participants) happening this weekend. I'm also a Publicity Officer for The Kalsom Movement, an organization that aims to fight education inequality.
- My favourite place on the earth is a majlis ilmu. And usrahs are like soul therapy for me.
- I love the sakura emoji. So kawaii.
- Two research papers I wrote during my final year were titled 'Instagram as a Platform for Visual Artists to Build Their Brand', and 'The Portrayal of Skin Colour Through Advertising in Malaysia'.
- I have an fascination with stars, outer space, and night lights.
