Hello Steemit, I am Jack@aroundchina, an engineer from China. It is really nice to join such a positive community to exchange knowledge with you.
I grew up in a city called Hangzhou, China. It locates in the east of China, 180 kilometers away from Shanghai.
I travel a lot. I spent most of my time in the past 4 years in different countries. I have been to United States, Mexico, Columbia, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Dubai, France, the Netherlands, Germany and etc.
Every time when I arrive in a new country, a new city, I always talk with the local people to know more about the city. At the same time, local people will ask me a lot of questions about China, China’s culture, China’s society, China’s cities. They are eager to know more about China. But from their simple questions, I found that they have little knowledge of China. Even they do not know that China is the world's most populous country, the third-largest country by total area, one of the world's earliest civilizations.
Since right now, China has a really, really big influence on the world, I would like to reintroduce China from a more neutral point of view, to let the world truly know more about China. And that is the reason why I named myself “aroundchina”.
You may ask we can find everything from Google, why you create such posts to introduce China. The true is that in China we do not use google products, there is no google search, no youtube, no facebook, no twitter. Most of information you see outside of China are processed without objectiveness and fairness. And this information is misleading the world. So I started this post to correct it.
You will find more topics of China in my following posts. It includes weather, history, cities, geography, politics, economy, culture, society, science and technology and so on. I will also compare it with the countries I have been to, to tell the difference, the advantages and disadvantages.
