I’m Glen living life on the southern tip of mainland Australia. Great place to surf, except in Summer when it pretty much goes flat. Winter is when it’s really on but you’ll need a thick wetsuit and a big wave board to handle the Southern Ocean swells.
The ocean has taught me many life lessons. Like how to handle fear. Not eliminate it but keep it from blossoming to panic which is a bad state to be in. I’ve written my first SteamIt article on this subject. Hope you like it.
My best friend died on his first overseas surf trip. Wow, that was such a shock for me. I was only in my early 20’s and didn’t know how to deal with all that grief and anger. The ocean taught me lessons here too. This might be my next SteamIt article.
I’m loving reading other people’s stories and connecting. I don’t have all the answers but I’m trying to learn from you beautiful people on my journey through this great adventure we’ve labelled ‘life’.
