It is a pleasure to be able to introduce myself to all those who from this moment on are starting to come to life in this blog. A blog that will be focused on the study and demonstration of automation mainly in industrial processes without excluding the processes of life itself because in my view automation is present in everything our eyes look at and in this introduction you will understand why.
Automation
Since the topic of automation is at the heart of this blog, I want to give it priority in defining what it is and how it works and when I say define I mean do it in my own words because the content of this blog is based on my own experiences as a professional without leaving aside the academic knowledge that underpins the articles. Automation is a word that encompasses several engineering disciplines for understanding and emulation. I say emulation because all that human beings have done is imitate the behavior of nature for their own benefit and seen in this way automation is not created by human beings but emulated by them.
To avoid complex terms let's say that automation consists of 3 fundamental elements that are:
- Sensor element: Any automatic system will need to acquire data on which to make decisions, the system's responses depend on this data and is what defines automation, automatic responses to specific behaviors of a system. The sensing elements are capable of receiving data and then sending it to a processor. In the case of the human being its sensory elements are the 5 senses, in a computer are the mouse, the keyboard, microphone and other communication peripherals. According to their nature, the data are considered variable. In many cases the independent magnitude of a variable is the input data used to control the dependent magnitude, this is dependent because its value seeks to be controlled automatically based on the first one. To me it happens that when the weather is very cold my body tends to warm up a little, the variable temperature of the environment is independent because I cannot control it (not using only my body), the variable body temperature is not controlled either, however there is a process in my body that does it automatically without me intervening. There are such complex automatic processes in the body as breathing, sweating, fever, the immune system. And if we look at the functioning of nature we find that events occur automatically (without human intervention), nature itself tends to be balanced.
- Processor element: It is the one who receives and interprets the data acquired by the sensors, and when I say interprets I mean that it can be misinterpreted. It is also the person in charge of making decisions and sending orders to modify the process and obtain the desired variable. In the case of the human being the processor is the brain that receives data from the environment through the 5 senses. These data may be misinterpreted as shown in some TV programs. In every system there will be a brain emulator; an element with the ability to interpret data and make decisions based on defined programming.
- Actuating element: It is the one who has the ability to modify the variable to adjust it to a desired value. If I had to define the actuators of the human body I would say that the arms and legs are the perfect example, although the automatic responses of the human being require a deeper study of anatomy and physiology but I use these concepts to make the explanation simple since this is not a biology blog but an automation that of course does not exclude biology.

For the purposes of the blog I will be focusing first of all on works I have done on an industrial level which include pneumatics, electronics, mechanics, systems. These works had the purpose of automating industrial plants and it was necessary to install and configure the elements previously described. Among these devices are pressure, temperature, level, flow, flow, valves of different types, PLC programming, programmable logic controllers, microcontrollers, the main idea is to share this knowledge with you and as far as possible clarify your doubts. In addition, I have in mind in the near future to design control devices based on solid state logic that we can use at home because not everyone has the joy of being in an industrial environment but as I said at the beginning automation is a process present in almost everything we see, so I would not want us to limit ourselves to it only in an industrial or medical field but we can make use of the knowledge to create and develop our own systems at home. Obviously we should do without expensive equipment such as PLCs and precision transmitters created for the industrial environment

I have a lot of experience working in the automation industry but I have very little experience as a blogger, but I have followed some tutorials to create my own blog in wordpress and reflect it in steem with steempress, it is obvious that I want to make some money like all of you, but I also have a lot of interest in sharing knowledge about automation because it is a very broad topic in which I myself have a lot to learn. Automation is directly related to science and technology and since we are still developing with them I would say that there is still a whole world to discover. I invite you to do it together following my blog.
I would also like you to help me with this blog cofiguring thing because I have little experience, so we can provide information in a friendly environment.
Thank you for reading.!
