My name is Michaela and I live in Maryland, USA. I love writing and reading, rainy days, and animals.

I recently started gardening and have grown tomatoes, green peppers, and mint. There is such a sense of fulfillment from growing and cooking my own veggies!

I'm super new to cryptocurrencies and I found Steemit during my research.

Discovering this path to a wealthier life has made me re-evaluate personal decisions that negatively impact my finances.

And it’s not all about a bigger bank account. It’s mostly about the freedom to enjoy life in the way I see fit. For me, that means more family time and more travel and more lazy days devouring books.

I love to travel...

Most of my posts will be about traveling.

It’s one of my few splurges, although I have been cutting back some in the name of fiscal responsibility. I’ve learned to understand the difference between quantity and quality, and to take fewer trips, but make them unforgettable.

I’ve also realized that traveling within my own country can be just as spectacular as traveling across borders.

There are so many places to explore within my country and I’m going to take advantage of these locations this year. All the money I save, I’m investing for a better future where I can hopefully enjoy even more travel!

The secrets to life...

I’m happy to have discovered a few secrets to life early on. Secrets such as:

• Appreciate the moments I have with those I love because they won’t last forever.
• Learn to enjoy the present and not worry about the past.
• Happiness is a choice that I must make each day.
• Small persistent actions create huge results with dedication.
• Realizing that I don’t always have to be right. Two or more opinions can exist peacefully.
• Many things I worry about will never happen. Fear is a waste of time.

I could go on and on, but those are a few that come from the top of my head.

I’m sure I’ll collect more of these life lessons during my journey, and I bet their value consistently exceeds that of even Bitcoin. LOL!
