Guess I didn't really write a intro on my intro. :) Sorta just wrote a post. To be honest, really wasn't expecting anyone to actually see it. I guess that's not how Steemit works. Still learning.
Who I am in a nutshell... Software developer, rebel to the core, true to life liberal and free thinker that bugs the shit out of everyone because I refuse to join any faction. I question everything. The more they say it shouldn't be questioned the more it should be questioned, in my book. The truth does not fear questions, lies do. So yaaa... I get pretty philosophical sometimes. But most of the close minded bigots that I piss off today are ones who claim they are liberal only because they practice some counter culture (or what they think is a counter culture) and try to ram rod their idealisms down everybody's throat. These same delicate snowflakes should not come within ten miles of a counter culture let alone TRY to participate in one. oh well... MOVING ON! :)
As a software developer I have been in the open source community for a long time. Not as active as I used to be but still out there. Currently working on a new OSS project that is not ready to reveal yet. Unfortunately it does not have anything to do with block chain tech. (SORRY!) But planning on writing a old-school dev style blog as i'm working on it. Possibly do some reveals here and there in the blog down the road.
But I have been writing code for a looong time. I won't list everything as it would take forever. My dad was a engineer and started teaching me to write code at a very young age. So writing code and learning new languages is like 2nd nature to me.
I got the nick name Bad OP Code as a teen. I was with a group of hacker friends. One guy said that he was going to find all the mnemonics in the Motorola 6502. I being competitive and a typical young man tried to one-up him and said I would find all the mnemonics in the Motorola 68000. My friend not missing a beat said "oh great we lost our coder, after he is done searching for all the mnemonics in a 68k he is going to think that every program should say 'bad op code'" Everyone laughed. Well one of the guys there ran a "leet" BBS that I wanted access on. To jog his memory of who I am in real life I had to tell him I was "Bad OP code" and well it just stuck. I wear it proudly like an albatross. :D
If you got this visual image of this totally socially dysfunctional nerd. Well...not really. I was actually kind of popular when I was a kid. I played guitar. Was in numerous metal bands. Was a surfer, skateboarder and snowboarder. Competed in amateur divisions and did really well. I really just did what I wanted and didn't care about social norms or what anyone thought. Absolutely no care of trying to fit a clique. Kind of just made my own with a collective group of renegades and weirdos. Now days i'm more reclusive and spend more time with my family than social settings. But definitely not socially awkward.
So that would be a summary of me for everyone. Hopefully it wasn't too boring.
