So, this is me; Father of two boys (one 6 and the other almost 4 at the moment), 33 years old software developer and former airline pilot. I live near Rotterdam in The Netherlands in a pretty standard house, together with my girlfriend for 19 years and our two sons.
In my spare time, I love to grill and drink beer with my friends, go scuba diving, or spend some time with the family. When the weather is less favourable, I like to build Lego with the kids, develop some software I can use in day-to-day life, or watch series on Netflix. I'm also trying to find some time to read into blockchain tech and try out developing some software that makes use of this.
About a year ago, my best friend told me about Steemit. I thought it to be a nice platform, but then "life happened" and kind of forgot about it. Recently I found some time to look into it again and I think it actually is an amazing platform, with great potential for the future. Blockchain technology is what I consider to be the base of the next-gen Internet and can only encourage projects such as Steemit! You people make the technology usable and interesting for the "average" person, which in turn helps it being accepted by many more people around the world. I hope I can get to be part of it, even though it might be a very small part.
Steem on!
