I have never crowdsourced for a startup, and am not very technical, but I have spent the last three years of my life establishing a music non-profit here in the states. We have a couple of alt-rock choirs, and we make YouTube parodies and musicals, and lots of other fun stuff! I am finally at the point where I am seeing a profit, so after 3 years, it is a cool thing to see!

I am a singer by nature, and an entrepreneur secondly, but I am finding that in music, it is so cut throat that the two almost need to be switched. I never knew how much business there really is to music. It's great to be good at what you do, but if you can't sell yourself, then someone crappier than you who can sell themselves will win out. It has been a frustrating learning curve!

Anyway, your startup sounds interesting, and it's awesome how much financial success you have had with it so far! I have never been in a band, but I have been in quite a few performing groups and a cappella groups, and I imagine the difficulties at least parallel. It is incredibly hard to keep a group of people together performing and managing gigs, etc. I would love to hear more about that though!
