Introducing BirdersofSteem

Hey fellow Steemit Users. I want this site to be a place birders can use to communicate, support each other, and generally use as a resource to support each other and grow the birding community on Steemit. I've uses Steemit as my birding blog site for a few months, and find that it is fun to reach out to other birders on Steemit, and try to develop a sense of community here.

This Black-and-white Warbler is singing with all his might to declare his territory. Birders, let's use @BirdersofSteem as a singing perch to declare our territory on Steemit, and to attract interested Birders to our territory.

Birders are those of us who of enjoy bird watching, but also bird photography, studying and learning about birds, and overall have a passion for most things about wild birds. My goals for @BirdersofSteem are as follows:

1. Be a place birders can find each other on Steemit and be a rallying place for #birding on Steemit.
2. A place to resteem excellent #birding posts on Steemit.
3. A site that birders can use to help them grow their #SteemPower and wealth on the Steem platform.
   -In support of this I plan to delegate 500 SteemPower to Hive account@birdersofsteem and to upvote great #birding content.
   -To be eligible for a @BirdersofSteem upvote articles will need to use #birding, to be of a quality that Hive account@birdbantger (and hopefully in the future other curators) finds excellent, and be birding related in some way.
   -Intereted Steemians who wish to delegate SteemPower to @BirdersofSteem will be rewarded by automatic upvotes of their posts. Initially @BirdersofSteem will set this up using AutoSteem in rough proportion to the delegated steempower. I do not expect this to be highly profitable to users, and recommend a modest delegation of SteemPowerby interested birders in support of the wider #birding community. I'll try to keep this fair, but no promises. I'm not highly tech savvy.
4. A site toperiodically highlight the best birders on Steemit. I hope to start with weekly posts about steemit users who have a focus on #birding, and will welcome help by others in this regard.
