I'm really excited to have sorted out my Steemit account, finally - having had it on the radar forever, at last, it's happened!
I am the CEO and lead writer for BlockSparks OÜ, where we specialise in storytelling and marketing communications for blockchain startups - and any other technology which is so exciting and disruptive that it deserves specialist journalism, social media, PR and content, to bring it to a wider consumer or professional audience.
My background is in tech and fintech journalism, but I 'fell down the rabbit-hole' into crypto via an investigative gig mind 2017. It turned out to be about one of those dreadful ponzi schemes, you can probably guess which, but the technology behind it caught my eye. A few weeks later I found myself writing some explainer content about an exchange, which confirmed my suspicions that there was a lot more to this world of crypto and blockchain than the scammers, and that there was something here worth exploring and digging into and learning about... Because there were some amazing stories to tell.
Since then I have been learning more every day, and found myself specializing more and more exclusively in writing about this space. I saw a big disconnect between the mindblowing potential for blockchain tech to transform our world in unbelievable ways, and the level of public understanding of what was coming - and for that reason, founded BlockSparks OÜ early in 2018, to bring together other specialists, in marketing and PR.
Our mission is to support clients doing fantastic things with blockchain - to help them spread the word and explain their visions to the world - whilst at the same time driving mass adoption and raising public understanding more generally, by sharing our enthusiasm for greater involvement and understanding of these technologies and their coming impact.
