Developers... what the fork have you done??

Myabe my first post on this account shouldn't be so bitter... but honestly, can't think of good things to say. This account was created thanks to Hive account@steemmonsters, and I was actually curious to see how was the experience of joining steemit as a complete newcomer after HF20.

And... it's just insane. Not because we start with 0 SP, or the low RC, since I haven't tried to post or comment yet so I can't say how quickly it goes down. But, starting with 0% VP? Not being able to do a single upvote? (Yes, I know being with 0 SP the upvote would be useless... but still!).

Either I'm missing something, and completely making a fool of myself... or the HF completely screwed the experience for a newcomer! Bear with me for few seconds: someone that never tried steemit before, opens an account, realises he/she can't do a single upvote, has very limited possibility of interaction with other users... would you see this person staying for long? I don't.

Something needs to be done. And after trying a completely new account, this seems completely clear to me now. Wishing brighter days ahead for newcomers and tiny fishes here!
