Hello again steemians.
I'd like to show off some art I did a few years ago for some friends and their creative project.
But first some other stuff in way of an introduction.
As a mother, a business owner, a lover of homecooking and maker of art the internet is way down the list of my daily priorities.
Still, I would like to share with the world some of my art and accomplishments, even if only to help inflate my continuing interest in being creative. But hopefully, I can convince others too to believe in their own abilities. Art and life are both personal and shared.
If you can't do a thing now.
Do it again.
And again.
Until you can.
No doubt the goals and outcomes will change along the way.
However, creativity is and should be an ongoing exploration of what you can and cannot do.
Hopefully moving towards more do than cannot do.
We must all try to keep our confidences while buoying up the confidences of others.
That all being said.
A few years ago I came to know the members of a band of musicians from Hawkes Bay (that's on the east coast of New Zealand's North Island). Having boogied to many tunes of thiers at private jam sessions and paid gigs I was honoured to be asked to design the front cover of their upcoming first full album release.
Here is the Album Cover I created for Detour's May 2015 release Paget Road.
Here are my original freehand doodles I scanned in and began to work with.
I was also lucky enough to get another bit of art on the inside cover and to design the picture CD itself. See the first pic of this post above.
A Squid I painted for a friends birthday.
Please check out my friend's excellent music. They have a new album that came out this last January. Get your groove on!

Has anybody else designed any projects like this?
I really enjoyed being part of such a challenging and different, for me, project.
Let me know in the comments and feel free to share your music related artwork.
