Hello Steemit =)
Just to introduce our project:
We are two French Engineering students, who discovered SteemIt recently. We wanted to share our knowledge on things we know, but instead of doing it on our own, we decided to collaborate.
That’s us x)
We will then talk about few different subjects, and each subject will be divided into two parts: one part will be made by , and the other one by me.
Those parts will be opposed to each other, and in this post for example, we will talk about France: Is it a nice place to live? I’ll do the pros, and he’ll do the cons! So do not forget to check his post: https://steemit.com/travel/@remic2005/1-duo-post-france-a-nightmare-or-the-best-place-to-be
So let’s start !
Why is France a Nice place to live ?
To introduce our country, France belongs to European Union and is surrounded by Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Italy, Andorre and Spain. The current president is Macron and there are 66,9 million inhabitants. It’s the sixth country in world ranking (gds) and has a huge history behind it. It’s called the country of human rights, and it’s renowned for its food. Wonderful place to be or nightmare to live?
1- You love travelling? You’ve never been in Europe?
First of all, if you live in France, you belong to the European Union, it means you can benefit from Schengen area, it is an agreement which will allow you to cross most of Europe countries very easily. Don’t you dream to visit Spanish, England, Malta, Germany …? A full life is not enough to visit all of them very well believe me =) and all of them are our neighbour.
2- Best place to work?
Politics and economy is not something I wanted to talk, but just for your knowledge, working conditions are quite fine. I mean in France you can have 25 paid holidays, 35-hour working week which has generated more leisure time for people in paid employment, “Les RTT”, day off with an average of 11 per year. You also have social security, health insurance, retirement, unemployment protection …
3- What’s the weather like today?
The weather in France is very pleasant, with a temperature which is never too cold or too hot, you can do many activities in each season. To be honest it doesn’t matter what you really like, there is something for every taste. You can go skiing, climbing, hiking but also swimming, tinning and enjoy the beach every day.
4- La “Haute-Couture”
Are you aware that the top fashion trends were born in France in 1945? Paris is known as the fashion capital where you can find « Chanel », « Dior », « Jean-Paul Gaultier » or « Yves Saint Laurent » known for their “haute-couture” fashion show or their luxurious perfume. In France, it is considered as an Art and it is not the only one.
5- Speaking of the devil…
Art is everywhere in France, especially in Paris, with the top museum in the world « Le Louvre », « Grévin museum », « Rodin museum » or « Oesay museum ». And no need to be French to know the Eiffel Tower, the Triumphal Arc, « le Château de Versaille » and his amazing garden (no spider-man).
6- Greedy as ever :p
France is known for its wonderful gastronomy, especially agricultural products such as bread, cheese, wine and meat. Regarding specialities, don’t you dare thinking is just Frogs' legs or snails (very tasty by the way), we have plenty of delicious meal such as « le magret de canard », « le bœuf bourguignon », « les crêpes » … Just look at the picture if you don’t believe me !
That’s all for now, I didn’t want to do post longer, if you liked the post, don’t forget to upvote, resteem and follow me!
Of course France is not the perfect country, my friend explains the bad side so don’t forget to check his post, which contradict this one! https://steemit.com/travel/@remic2005/1-duo-post-france-a-nightmare-or-the-best-place-to-be
