My name is Robert and i'm a 38 year old trader and investment advisor. I primarily use a technical (chart based) approach to financial markets and I have a niche specialty in small/micro cap Canadian resource companies. I also trade commodity futures and cryptocurrencies.
A few of my favorite things in life are charts, cryptocurrencies, and acro yoga. I intend to share all three of these things with the Steemit community. Here is a small taste of each one for you right now:
Ratio chart of the S&P 500/Gold:
(
The recent strength in the US stock market coupled with weakness in the gold price has propelled the S&P/Gold ratio to a recent high of 2.15 (S&P 500 of 2700 divided by gold price of $1255 for example). There is strong potential for a 'failed breakout' above 2.00 in this ratio which would be confirmed by a breakdown back below 2.00, targeting a move back to the 2017 ratio lows near 1.80. A trade of short the S&P 500 ETF (SPY) coupled with long GLD (gold ETF) is an excellent way to express this potential failed breakdown.
Since we are on Steemit I figured it would be apropos to analyze the Steem/BTC chart:
(
The Steem/BTC ratio has retraced 50% of its June-December decline and some consolidation between .00042 and .00054 is to be expected. The next upside target above .00054 is .00064 (resistance from May and July). Steem looks like it has put in a long term bottom vs. Bitcoin and it should continue trending higher for some time to come.
Acro yoga has become a great passion of mine and I enjoy practicing at almost any chance that I get. This is a picture of an acro pose called 'King Pigeon' (same name as yoga):
(
I love acro yoga because it allows me to enjoy nature and fresh air while getting exercise and practicing teamwork and partnership with another person (and sometimes several people). Acro yoga has also enabled me to meet many people from across the world that I probably would have never met otherwise. In the picture above I am the base (bottom) and the flyer is from England. Her name is Pip and she is one of the most talented and skilled flyers I have ever had the pleasure of practicing with.
It's great to be a part of this community and I look forward to sharing much more in the future.
