Hello Steemit! Here is a little bit about me.
My name is Charlotte and I am an animator based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.
I run on coffee, cartoons and cats.
I specialise in creating stop motion animated films, making sets and characters from a variety of materials (mostly wool). I'm co founder of Good Cop Bad Cop Productions (I'll leave it up to you guys to decide which one I am). The other half our our duo 
Back in 2010 is was lucky enough with help from good friends to win a Royal Television Society Award for my graduate film, The Little Red Plane. I've attached a still from the film below. In this shot the little boy and his cat have flown their plane into space to deliver a package to the moon. The sets are all hand knitted/ stitched and the little boys head was created using a 3D printer. We used several heads all with different heads throughout the film:
From this I was able to secure a job with a wonderful animation company in London called Loose Moose Productions, where I met some extremely talented people and was taught invaluable lessons about the industry. Since then I have taken every opportunity to progress my skills. I worked as a model maker on Postman Pat, Toby's Travelling Circus and various independant animated shorts.
I have also been working on my own idea for a children's series called Mandy and Monty: Woodland Patrol about a Woodland Ranger called Mandy (little girl) and her Deputy, Monty (cat), who live in a treehouse and protect the local wildlife. It's still very much a work in progress but I'm hoping to share some bits and pieces with you soon.
I was told about Steemit by a couple of friends on here and I thought it would be the perfect platform for me to document future projects and get some of our work out to a larger audience. We have a couple of large projects about to start so it will be good to be able to put our full process up here.
I'm looking forward to reading through your stories and sharing some more of my own with you.
