Hello everyone!
My name is Christina, and I am thrilled to now be here on Steemit! I'm from a small farming town in Southeast Michigan, and now live in Southwest Missouri with my husband, Josh and our family. My husband is a writer and we were invited to work for his publisher back in November of 2016. His publisher owns a warehouse and television studio called SkyWatchTV, here in Missouri where we are now working . At SkyWatchTV, my husband and I host a show about Quantum Physics, creation and supernatural events called, Into The Multiverse. We also help in other departments where and when we are needed. I absolutely love my job and I'm so thankful and blessed to be where I am today. My love for Quantum Physics among other topics in science, mathematics and the unknown began at a young age. As a child I would stare up at the sky and study the planets I viewed through my telescope for hours! To me, witnessing the events of meteor showers and comets passing by our planet screamed the miracle of creation.
I grew up in a very Christian, Conservative home and though trials and pain came my way, I never blamed God. Yes, I am a Christian. I am excited I can join a community online where subjects on Christianity are not going to be censored. My faith is very important to me, and I'd like to share a brief testimony.
At fourteen years of age I was in a car crash that was supposed to leave me in a wheelchair. I was told I'd never walk or talk again and that I could forget about having children. Long story short I walked out ( well hobbled) out of the hospital 5 days later. From the help of my older sister, a teacher, I learned to speak, read and write all over again. I was even able to graduate from high school six months early.
To help rebuild my posture and muscles in my legs and back, my mother enrolled me in a modeling course. I fell in love with it and later started acting. The downside was that there were not a lot of paying jobs in Michigan, so I did it as a hobby and for exposure. After getting married, I continued to model until my second child, Nathan was born. Yes, I have children! Three of them to be exact. My oldest is six, and my youngest will be turning a year old on September 12th.
Last year I started getting involved in some acting and modeling again. Not sure where it will take me, but it's fun nonetheless.
I am also a writer. I contributed to a book last year titled: When Once We Were a Nation, and I'm currently working on two projects. One of them is a natural D.I.Y recipe book and the other is a biography.
I also do a lot of research in health, growth and development. As a mother I am concerned about what my children have access to and what they eat. We have cut out many cleaners with harmful chemicals, and foods containing ingredients that are harmful and/or provide no benefit to our health. I have found alternative ways to clean and disinfect my home and am excited to share my findings. I am also excited to read and learn from the posts here and share my own!
