Hey Steemit! I figured I should do an introduction post to share what brought me here!
I've been following Cryptocurrency on and off since 2011 and have watched different coins rise and fall. One thing that always bothered me was the main way for people to spend crypto was to cash out to fiat or turn it into a gift card. I always viewed cryptocurrency at its most basic utility as being a currency.
For the past couple of years I worked for startups working to help people save money and declutter their lives through easy ways of sharing things they no longer need. So many homes are full of items we'll never use again. A book we may never read again, clothes we've out grown, or a video game we've completed that will sit on the shelf. Its one thing to collect or enjoy seeing the item but its another if the item no longer brings you joy or value when it could be shared with others or turned into savings/cash/STEEM.
I think Cryptocurrency such as STEEM, especially with the community its built on Steemit, could benefit from a platform where you can safely connect with other users and be able to buy/sell things you no longer need and either get things you can use or even get STEEM in exchange.
For the past year I've been developing Coinsen.com and its been in private testing. Since it launched earlier this month I've seen some great traction and want to open it up to STEEM as well.
