Cop Block Iowa Joins the Steemit Community - Introduction

Hello Steemians!

We are Hive account@copblockiowa and we are proud to finally join the Steemit community! After building a rather large and active community on Facebook, we felt there was no better time than now to migrate that community to Steemit! Cop Block Iowa is a decentralized community of diverse individuals, here to bring you any and all information relating to corruption, misconduct, and unlawful behaviors of Iowa's law enforcement officers and other government officials.

Our mission is to educate and inform the public of their rights, while promoting transparency, accountability, and integrity of those in a position of authority. We are here to hold the police accountable, and remind them that nobody is above the law. Our goal is draw the public's attention to the gradual militarization and wastefulness of the police throughout Iowa.

We do this by; Organizing cop watches - filming police interactions across the State, Sharing articles, blogs, and videos, organizing protests, performing independent investigations, and requesting and publishing information pertaining to relevant cases.
