For the past few days, the "Ambassadors Steemit Fun Club" formed by THE STEEMIT HUB undertook a social experiment, to understand the behavior of students in second cycle institutions in Ghana. The experiment considered a sample size of 100 students in a secondary school in which Hive account@steem4depoor tutor's.It was discovered that students are having physiological needs, which was a contributing factor for poor performance. Students were fed for two days for free and the response showed that, if students are given food daily, it will improve their academics.But it was also uncovered that there are other factors contributing for poor performance which include:

1. Inability to pay school fees which was just $60 per student termly.
2. lack of study materials like textbooks and other related study materials.
   Although the project received alot of support from Hive account@ackza, Hive account@bleepcoin, Hive account@reko, Hive account@guiltyparties, Hive account@misterdom among others but sustainability of the program became an issue on the table of project managers.

GIVE A FISH OR TEACH TO FISH?

There is a proverb that says
"IF YOU GIVE A MAN A FISH HE WILL ALWAYS ASK FOR FISH BUT IF YOU TEACH HIM HOW TO FISH HE WILL NEVER LACK FISH.
This showed clearly that if we continuously give food and hope that will bring the desired change we will fail completely. Students will always be looking up to us to help them out and if we are not able to deliver, the disappointment can derail their faith in steemit as a platform. Since most of our subjects were students as a team we decided to come up with the idea of "CONTENT CREATORS COMPETITION". This project is massively supported by Hive account@ackza and Hive account@justinashby (steem delegator), who saw the potentials in our projects.

HOW DOES THE COMPETITION WORK

STAGE 1

A local committee of from Ghana including Hive account@steem4depoor, Hive account@kofpato, Hive account@oradejoke, Hive account@brightacq and selected members of the #teamghana will review articles articles and select best 5 for the day.These post will then be posted on the competition page and expossed to the community to vote. Owners of selected articles will automatically receive $2.

STAGE 2

An international team constituting Hive account@ackza ,Hive account@justinashby (steem delegator) Hive account@reko and other selected steemians will review and choose top three post of the day. These post will be elevated through massive promotion.

HOW WILL THE REWARDS BE DISTRIBUTED

1. Approved post will automatically earn $2 which will be credited into their steem visa card. This is a special card that will allow students to buy food at selected vendors both internal and external. Making some shops the first to accept steem as payment.
2. Upon payout, 50% of SBD earned by submitted post will be invested into a an educational fund account that will be set on steemit as a special saving account. The rest will be used to power- up the competition account.To help extention of program to other schools.
3. Students who prove that they are capable of producing good and well documented articles will be migrated to the AMBASSADORS page and they will be given their own accounts.

HOW LONG WILL THE PROJECT LAST.

The project will be in its beta mode and is subject to review and amendment every month.
