I’ve been investing in crypto for less than a year, but it’s becoming an all-consuming passion. I’m really excited about the underlying technologies and decentralisation in general because of its promise of all manner of freedoms for all people.
I’ve made a few mistakes but my only regret is not making them sooner. I looked at Bitcoin in 2010 but got scared off by the complexity. I’ll never let that happen again.
I’m employed as a copywriter at an advertising/communications agency, where I develop concepts, content and communications for brands like KFC, IBM and American Express to name a few.
My most recent campaign – for the American Express Platinum Card – just went live. If you live in Australia and like to travel, you’ll probably be bombarded with targeted ads in your social media feed. Sorry about that.
When I’m not writing for work, I write for fun. I love the short story format and try to capture slice-of-life vignettes when inspiration strikes. My stories are little bursts of hyper realism, desperate attempts to figure out what being alive is all about that I’m too terrified to share with anyone.
Three books changed my life.
Marlene van Niekerk’s Triomf made me want to write.
David Foster Wallace’s Infinite Jest made me want to write better.
Hanya Yanagihara’s A Little Life made me want to never write again.
I intend for this to be a place to immerse myself in crypto and share my learnings, connect with people who have similar interests, and basically just be part of a conversation that I think will sweep the world off its feet in the next ten years.
