Hey everyone!
Just thought of writing a short intro post for English speaking Steemians.
At the beginning of February, I finally put together my first publication and - being Mexican - I wrote it in Spanish. You can read it here.
I'm glad my son invited me to join this amazing social network. I'm looking forward to learning from all its members and contributing with interesting content for the community.
My name is Dagmar Deeke Wienkel and I was born in the '50s in Mexico City. Yes, of course… I know what you’re thinking: an actual baby-boomer, who is struggling a bit with technology but trying hard to keep up with the latest trends, including social media and blockchain.
My family has been living in Cuautla, Morelos for almost 29 years. Morelos is a beautiful state, very close to Mexico City (just a 90 minute car drive), one of the most populated and exciting cities on Earth. You surely must have heard of Morelos’ state capital Cuernavaca, the “Ciudad de la Eterna Primavera" (the City of the Eternal Spring) which is also very close to our place. Here we have been lucky to live in one of the best climates in the world.

My husband Jorge is an architect who loves working as a carpenter. He has an amazing gift and has built really amazing woodwork. Music is one of his passions, which he’s transmitted to and shared with our sons.
One of my favorite photos.
One of my husband's latest projects
Eduardo is a digital entrepreneur and an amazing person, I love his kindness and pure spirit. You can get to know him better here. Eduardo’s beautiful girlfriend
is also participating on Steemit. Check out some of her artwork.
My older son Jorge and my daughter-in-law Erendira moved to Texas. They have exciting and daring jobs, Eren working as a skydiver, tandem master and certifier and he as a pilot and skydiver who loves the sky and music.
It was such a wonderful opportunity for myself to be raised in a bi cultural environment. Having German ancestry on both of my parent's sides I grew up speaking German at home and school. I spoke Spanish with neighbors and friends. Though my family stuck more to German traditions, we surely enjoyed Mexican ones, too.
My interests are science, nutrition (I’m fond of a ketogenic lifestyle and an enthusiast of intelligent supplementation), health, sports and languages. I love being among family and friends.
Hope you visit my blog in the future and read me soon!
