Hi! My name is Dallas Woody and I have the honor to father the Woody Tribe. I wanted to introduce you to both myself and my family since they are much of my identity. I was a little slow to the crypto world and really wish I would have paid attention sooner. I signed up for steemit maybe 6-9 months ago, but haven’t introduced myself yet or really used the platform. I hope to change that and become an active user.
I hope to use this platform to find like minded individuals and also encouragement to complete projects that I have started. Ideas come easy for me, but turning those ideas into reality is a different story. The ability that micro payments will have on the world is amazing. No longer will those who hold the money choose who succeeds and fails through funding or non-fundingg, but we are moving into an era where the person with the best idea can succeed quickly because others can rally around them with small amounts of energy to help push them over the hurdles. So before I post about some of my ideas, dreams and projects let me tell you just a little about myself.
My full name is Herbert Dallas Woody IV and I find some identity in that heritage. However I never met my great grandfather and only had 6 years with my grandfather. Our family currently lives in a farmhouse built in 1921 that all the Herbert Dallas Woody’s have lived in. We have named our 5th child 4th boy Herbert Dallas Woody V, so the namesake heritage will live on. We live in southwest Virginia on a 100 acre farm. We no longer have animals but grow hay to maintain the property. The property we live on is my father’s and our kids are able to walk down to their grandparents’ home.
I was an average student through high school and was able to attend Virginia Tech where I completed an Interdisciplinary Studies degree in Communication Religion and American Studies. The plan was to attend seminary and become a pastor. This was derailed in a positive way that I hope to share later. My deepest identity has always been spiritual, knowing that this world was not the final reality or maybe better stated, this world has not yet been perfected. So deep down in my soul is the seed to spread love, truth, and fight for the greater kingdom. I want to be a mouthpiece for spiritual encouragement, but currently each day I grow older running a hazardous tree service to pay the bills and survive.
I hope to use this platform to find some encouragement, share my projects and goals and move into some new areas of personal development.
