Greetings
Thought I'd bite the bullet and write my first post here. I'm a 45 YO musician in London UK who decided a few years back to fully pursue my passion of music regardless of the outcome. Having been in a 'proper job' for almost 20 years now I realised it's never too late and I don't want to look back and regret not making the most I could out of what makes me happy - music.
I like jazzy-funky stuff, heavily influenced by the 1990s London Acid-Jazz and house music scenes. I also like some modern progressive house and what's now being called nu-jazz/nu-funk/nu-disco. An example of the kind of stuff I'm producing is here:

That's just a section of an unfinished track - also one that I wrote about 25 years ago and played with my 11 piece band at the time...
Back in my youth when I was a young hopeful we didn't have the Internet, or Youtube or even very accessible computers - it was all guitars, amps, PA systems and cassette tape machine in the corner of the room for the noisy 'garage band'.
I didn't get on very well with the music industry back then, something about it didn't click for me. But now is a different story because the new music industry means I can make the rules myself, distribute, promote and target people without a label.
So that's my intro - I play guitar, bass, keys, write, produce a bit in Ableton Live - but only enough to develop my ideas then outsource mixing and mastering.
I'm excited to be here, I love music, I love blockchain and the possibilities ahead. I'll leave you with my new single that I will release soon on the major distribution channels:
