Hello Steemit community, my name is Will. I am an Atlanta-based photographer with an alternative mind.
After 6 years of photography experience, I decided to revamp my photography blogging here in Steemit. I’ve been a Steemit reader for a few weeks and I’m impressed with the platform and content. I definitely see long term potential and can’t wait to start sharing my work with you.
I am not your traditional photographer.
I used to blog in other platforms, but as I established my photography style, my content became a bit too risqué for other websites. I am looking to connect with and build on the alternative and fetish photography niche. My focus is on interesting and unique portraiture, but I will sometimes venture into other types of photography.
Warning: expect a lot of NSFW posts from me.
My goal is not only to take unique and interesting photos, but also to create images that breaks out of the traditional portrait photography norms. Alternative portrait genres such as erotic, fetish, cosplay, boudoir, fashion, boudoir, and fine art are my main interest.
What to expect from my blog: Essentially, lots of fetish and taboo imagery, including BDSM, leather, latex, bondage, gothic, corsets, lingerie, lace, fishnets, heels, boots, whips, chains, collars, canes, floggers, rope, ball gags... You know, all the good stuff.
What NOT to expect from my blog: Boring vanilla photos of pretty people in front of a nice background. My objective is to make you feel a level of unease by touching on edgy themes, not simply to comply with the photography status quo.
Also, don’t expect pornography in my blog. Know the difference between artistic figure portraiture and explicit porn.
(For my first Steemit post, I wanted to keep the images PG13. Stay tuned for edgier posts).
But it’s not all kinky stuff.
I understand that most of my content will not be for everybody. However, I occasionally do more traditional photography projects like editorial and cosplay photography.
Photography means constant learning, so I am looking to connect with other photographers to learn and give studio lighting tips. Some posts will be about gear reviews, tutorials, and other types of projects.
Atlanta models, I want to work with you!
I am currently working on several portrait photography projects with a variety of themes. Feel free to contact me to shoot if you are in town. I have a studio available in downtown Atlanta.
I am also looking to connect and network with other fetish photographers around. Feel free to follow and connect with me here.
Why “Debaser”?
I decided to use "Debaser" as a reference to the Pixies' song of the same name (from the album Doolittle), which is also a reference to Luis Buñuel's surrealist film Un Chien Andalou. In a traditional surrealist fashion, the movie has no significant underlying meaning. On the other hand, the Pixies' 'Debaser' is about the fact that Un Chien Andalou debases morality and standards of art.
