Hi from deepsouthcape and i would like to introduce myself....
I am from Cape Town, South Africa on the Atlantic Seaboard side of life where the water is cold and the sea life is amazing. I grew up here before leaving in the dark days of Apartheid and lived abroad for 27 years until moving home last year.
Done quite a few things in my life; am a proud Veteran, lived in Asia and Europe and for the past 17 years in the Middle East. Have camped in the deserts of Saudi, Oman, UAE and been lucky enough to spend numerous evenings camping under the stars and enjoying a camp fire with friends.
Oman is one of my favorite places, period! Watching green backed turtles coming to lay eggs on the sand and then watching my kids rescue baby turtles who have just hatched and carrying them to the sea to avoid as many predators as possible....unbelievable times.
I am mad about rugby even though our National team really are not doing great! Love riding my Harley through the winding roads of Cape Town overlooking the sea; going whale watching where we are lucky enough to see whales right on our doorstep.
I am married to an incredibly patient and loving lady for 28 years (some say she deserves a medal and i happen to agree!) - she has packed and followed me round the world and we have two awesome young ladies for daughters who thankfully take after their mum.
Am looking forward to posting a few things about Cape Town, some pics of the wildlife and travel to Cape Town and what you need to know....would love you guys to follow me ......am looking forward to meeting some interesting people here and thanks for reading!
