Hi to everyone who read this!
My name is Dima and I'm Ukrainian.
In light of recent events in my country, I found myself in England. It has been the land of dreams since I was a child and I ended up here, albeit not under the most pleasant circumstances.
I've never noticed any writing ability in myself before, so this will be my debut. I was prompted to this by my acquaintance with
. She says it will be a great opportunity to improve my English and I completely agree with her opinion.
I even can't imagine what I'll write about because I have a wide horison of hobbies from active sports such as skiing, SUP-serfing, fishing, cycling and hiking to fairly relaxed domestic pursuits such as cooking, reading, programming, etc... :)
As I said earlier, I ended up here under terrible circumstances and I have to say that the British government not only supports our military and our state to win but also provides great programs to our refugees, for which we are all extremely grateful.
It's of the rambling welcome message (introduction post) but emotions are really running high and this is my first time posting so don't judge too harshly.
I hope to find many new acquaintances and positive experiences here (and probably new friends) and naturally share my own with you.
I have been trying to edit this post several times but each time it came out worse and worse, so I decided to write the very first version. We have a saying: "The best is the enemy of the good" and I agree entirely with it.
