Hi, I'm Divyanth. I recently became a Top Writer on the Q&A site Quora. I've been on it for quite some time and I've gathered over 5,000 followers. You can check out my profile and follow me there if you aren't already. Quora is a really great website that curates quality questions and answers using AI. This in turn attracts good writers. It even has some famous people on it.
Every year, Quora names a handful of content creators as Top Writers. Top writers get free swag from Quora. I got this jacket for being a Top Question Writer in 2017.
I also love the fact that Quora organizes meetups for Top Writers every year. I happened to visit one such meetup in New York city last year. It was a fantastic experience meeting so many people I looked up to; whose questions and answers I throroughly enjoyed.

Quora is one of the first platforms on which I started expressing myself on the internet. Here, I answer questions about
- Cryptocurrencies
- Web Development
- Politics
- Gaming
and whatever else comes to mind.
Why I decided to move to Steemit.
Quora's question and answer format is great. But I feel like I have a lot more to offer. So, a platform that merely offers a question/answer format was not enough. I could've picked another platform like Medium to write blog posts. But since Steemit exists, why go elsewhere anyway? Being paid for writing is definitely a bonus!
I joined Steemit over a year ago. But I wasn't active then, because I wasn't confident in my ability to write. My following in Quora has definitely given me some encouragement to expand.
What I'm planning to do here
I'm going to use Steemit as a sounding board. I'm going to write about cryptocurrencies, religion, politics, sci-fi, video games - pretty much about anything I touch in my everyday life. If I have an epiphany, it goes here.
A little more introduction..
I grew up in India, moved to the US for work and got a Master's Degree in CS from UNC Charlotte. I originally wanted to be a game developer, but my interests have pivoted since then. For the last couple of years, I've made a killing in crypto, multiplying my investment some 100x. With little to no work, I managed to create myself a retirement fund that could potentially go to millions if cryptos see the same returns this year as it did last year. Fin.
