Fellow steemiters, I am glad to be welcomed into your midst (an original community comprised of original thinkers) as a content creator. I am Emmanuel, hence Emmybronye, so I once stumbled on steemit a while ago but I skimmed over it as ‘one of those crypto’ (all that steem backed dollars thing really confused me) so I didn’t even bother but recently a friend was talking about this website he found and you actually get rewarded for originality, I was awed by this then he said it’s steemit it was totally different from my initial concept of steem dollars and the likes, and here I am now.
“Al’ight thanks for the rant” said a reader, “what have you got for us”
What? I thought I have shared my journey so far. Nonetheless I cleared my throat and answered, all ego withered away.
“well I’m a Nigerian, and I am studying mechanical engineering.” My voice croaked, barely above a whisper
“I really have a passion for alt. energy sources cos I prefer to be prepped for the future, besides aren’t clean energy sources much more fun compared to our dear fossil fuels?” I blabbed enthusiastically
In hopes of making things lively for this bored looking reader I tried to think of something else but nothing came forth, this is quite usual but I had to get out of the introductory interview to my other life, yes I have a life outside of school and alt. energy, I had a life which entailed God, graphics art (#blender, #inkscape, #gimp. etc.), I also had to write a poem which jumped at me as I stood there trying desperately to get the words flowing.
“sorry, gotta go.” I finally blurted.
Astonished at that, the reader said “what!?, you leaving without an impression?” “you’ll be back, yes soon you will”.
My ears perked up at that you’ll be back? a second chance? I was beyond glad so I shouted back
“hope I have something more next time, as I didn’t say my life doesn’t comprise much about telling on myself.”
