Hi, My name is Dana, I've created a new topic and definition called "envirosity" to get a little attention, start a dialog and try make some virtual money! My writing style is about being straightforward and not beating around the bush. Some of you might read it and think "what a jerk!" I'm not trying to be a jerk, but sometimes I come off that way. Please bear with me.
I try to reach out to as many people as possible, using small words whenever possible, and larger, more complex concepts only when absolutely necessary. I believe in the environmental movement, but I've seen a lot of evidence of the hijacking of that movement in my career, which has been helping industry with environmental compliance.
If you have a little time look up my first article, which will be easy to find if you search for "envirosity." I'm also going to address a lot of topics in environmental compliance such as the clean air act, NESHAPS and NSPS, stormwater plans (SWP3), Spill Prevention Plans (SPCC) and a lot of environmental regulatory topics of general interest to businesses and industry.
You'll get my opinions on regulatory trends and the environmental movement also. I am of a conservative bent, but I also have some liberal ideas floating around in my head as well. Some of my writing seems to me run a little long, so feel free to make suggestions for me to improve it. I can condense things and try to write more concisely, but I'm trying to figure out the right balance of detail and brevity for what I'm trying to accomplish. I'm trying to be factual and informative about my field, while at the same time being somewhat interesting to the general public.
