Hi Everyone! My name is Eric Ochoa , I'm 24 years old originally from Los Angeles but now recently living and working in New York City. I grew in in a low income community in Los Angeles but after going to college and graduating I've been able to get a good job and thankfully no longer consider myself low income. However, now that most of my energy is not being spent on trying to get out of poverty I have a lot more free time and want to be able to do something constructive with that time.
The only problem is I have absolutely no idea what I can do that will add value to the community since I've spent most of my time before simply studying for school or learning how to code in order to get the job that I have now. But I do enjoy reading (as can be seen from my mini library), soccer, politics, and technology so maybe I can do something related to those?
Although I'm still not sure what I would like to do (or what I can do). I'm still very excited to have been accepted and to become a part of this community. Hope everyone is doing well and looking forward to connecting with others on this platform!
