All the Things I Love
Life is all about love as far as I'm concerned. I start my day with this mantra, "I am love, I love, and I am loved. " I have long since forgotten where I got this mantra, but I am forever thankful. Life seems to flow easier when I focus on love.
I started this post over and over again. To be honest, I wrote a book then said to myself, "Why are you acting like you will never get another chance to post? So here is the abbreviated version (smile). I will simply highlight the things that I love so you get a glimpse into who I am.
I Love Gardening
I love watching things grow. As a young child I was fascinated with house plants. My grandmother and mother had green thumbs. They were women with very little money, however, their homes felt vibrant, abundant, and inviting because they filled them with plants that sometimes reached the ceiling. Feel free to visit my blog, www.flowersbeautyandlove.com.
When I went away to college I had about 10 plants. They kind of took over the room, but thankfully my room mates did not object. Those plants provided much needed warmth to my dorm room, and reminded me of home. When I was sad, or homesick, I would rub the leaves, water, and feel better.
I can often be found in my outdoor garden growing flowers. As a master gardener intern the more I learn the more I realize how little I know. I have so much to learn and so much to share. I look forward to writing about gardening, sharing my ideas, valuable resources, and learning from my fellow Stemians. Feel free to visit my blog, www.flowersbeautyandlove.com.
Family is My Favorite Garden
I am never without plants and the joy that I feel nurturing and caring for nature was magnified beyond words when my husband and I became parents. My family is the most beautiful garden I have ever had the pleasure of tending.
From left to right is our daughter, Ankobia, my husband, Kevin, our son, Luqmann, Me, our son, Rahmaan, and our daughter, Naphtalia.
This photo was taken at Luqmann's college graduation party. This is one of my favorite pictures of my family. I can see the nights that Kevin held a baby while I bathed another one, the days he had tea parties with the girls, and I took the boys to the skate bowl, all the sunlight we poured out of our hearts into theirs, this garden has taught me so much. I look forward to sharing insights regarding the parenting process from my perspective, and learning from others as we share the journey to cultivating strong, vibrant families.
I am Fascinated by the Seeds Cryptocurrencies are Casting
When I left the real estate industry, six months ago, I began researching passive investment strategies. During my quest I ran across cryptocurrencies and dang near lost my mind! I found seeds sprouting across the globe in finance, business, art, gaming, and social media applications, it's all so amazing.
The concept of global decentralized currency, with transparency built into a blockchain platform, that developers are using to create applications that are changing our view of the world thrills me beyond belief! I look forward to supporting and learning more about this amazing new ecosystem.
Thanks for taking the time to let me introduce myself.
In closing, I will say that I love Steemit and look forward to contributing to the positive vibes!!
