So... this is me.
I started reading books at the age of 10.
By the time I finished reading my first book, I knew I wanted to be a writer.
By the time I finished reading my 20th book, I knew what kind of writer I wanted to be:
One able to reach those standing in the darkness and make them realize that they are full of light. One with the capacity of getting to the heart of those who are feeling less of themselves and make them know how brilliant they are and how many potential they've got!
One able to reach people like me.
My name is Ernesto Rodriguez. And right now I am 24 years old.
I never got to write anything. Why? I was scared. Scared of failure. Scared of criticism. But I think now is the time to do it. I really need to. I Need to connect with humans! For too long I've been hiding, fearing even to try it (I'M FREAKING OUT WHILE WRITING THIS! I'M SUPER NERVOUS CAUSE STRANGE PEOPLE ARE ACTUALLY GOING TO READ WHAT I'M WRITING OMG).

Connecting with people, making new friends, is a big deal for me. I am looking forward to make friends with you!
I'm hoping to use steemit as a platform where I can take (at least) baby steps towards my dream as a writer. Writing to let you know what is going on in my mind and in my life (putting my messy thoughts into words) could be a good starting point. Maybe every now and then I could throw in here some short stories from my own invention... who knows.

I thought of a little game that will help us to know each other. Wanna play? It goes like this: I'm going to leave here a total of 10 quotes from some of my favorite movies BUT I'm not going to say the source of any of them. So: If you recognize one, leave a comment telling me what you think/how do you feel about the movie the quote came from. This way we could easily start a really interesting conversation.
