Hi there, fellow steemians!
fisch here. I am a 21-year-old guy living in Norway, near our capital city Oslo.
Currently without employment, but come fall, I plan on doing a one-year German study at university. This of course, is totally related to my hopes of later becoming a psychiatrist. I mean, German is great for diagnosing patients with illnesses like kummerspeck (grief bacon/heartache fat) or frühjahrsmüdigkeit (when spring is met with indifference).
Now, why did I join steemit? Well, I don't own a TV and since my phone only good for making calls, I've been forced to look elsewhere for brainless fun. We all need our distractions from life, right? Not exactly. Firstly, I strongly dislike watching TV (life's too short for commercials). Secondly, I simply can't stand all the mindless "phone apping" we do as soon as we are needy for some augenblickliche Befriedigung (instant gratification). No instead of this, I believe Steemit will become something entirely different: a place where people can encounter useful posts and comments, and actually learn something along the way.
And that's how I am planning on contributing. I want to make weekly high quality content, as well as commenting on like-minded individuals' posts. My posts won't follow any one subject or genre, but rather all things I find interesting and fun. Stuff like Top Ten Facts, themes in movies, guides, lessons from history, philosophy and much more!
For example, did you know that the Aztecs used cacao as currency and that your own child went for 600 "ChocoCoins"?

That Alien: Covenant is full of religious themes?
Or that there is a good chance we will never stay happy, and why?
In short, I am really excited about the opportunity and incentive steemit provides to create great content, and I hope you will enjoy what I have to share!
