Langsa - Governor of Aceh Irwandi Yusuf challenged the young generation of Aceh to love the aerospace world, one of which is by enrolling in the flight school. Even Bang Wandi promises scholarships to Acehnese children who want to study aerospace.
This was conveyed in his short speech, at the Special Session of Parliament of Langsa City, after inaugurating and taking the oath of Tgk Usman Abdullah and Marzuki Hamid as the Mayor and Vice Mayor of Langsa on Monday 28 August 2017.
When I enrolled in my flight school my age was 53 years old, I've had a stroke. But, why young people in Aceh are still healthy and valiant, until now no one wants to be a pilot? the governor asked.
Irwandi revealed that he had waited for Aceh youth to be enrolled in flight school. However, since nobody signed up to him, finally Bang Wandi offered it to his daughter, Putroe Sambinoe Beumetuwah.
Currently, my daughter has passed the flight test and is waiting for permission from the Ministry of Transportation. Currently my daughter is also registered as the first female pilot from Aceh, said Bang Wandi.
On the occasion, Irwandi also revealed the history of the name Hanakaru Hokagata penabalan for his favorite plane.
