Hey world of steemit!
We are GEFRIERBRAND, a band from Southern Germany. We live at the verge of the Black Forest and that’s one of the reasons why we think the best “genre” to describe our music is “Black Forest Metal”. It’s not pure Black, Death or Thrash Metal – but something in between.
Why have we joined steemit and what can you expect from our posts? (Especially: why do we write those posts in English, while our songs are usually in German?)
We think that the message and content of songs are at least as important as the music itself. However: around the web, you often only have access to the plain lyrics of bands, tops. Especially, if the lyrics are not in your native language, there’s a risk of missing the message.
That’s why we want to provide some background on us and of course our songs. We’ll start with the song “Heilige Nacht” (“Holy Night”). Can you already guess what the song is about? (Hint: it’s not about a cheerful evening with the family).
On the other hand, the music itself is of course a key element and we don’t want to miss the chance of showing you. You can listen to our music on iTunes, Spotify, Deezer, Google Play and many more – and if you want to see how we look like, just check this video:
