Good evening Folks,
I'm woody, a wooden figurine assisting people with perspective, proportions and drawings----oh so you would think I am...I am in fact much much more. Life and Hannah had alternative plans in store for me.Sit down and take a moment to read my tale.
I started off as a joke, being tucked away into Hannah's laptop bag. She was starting life drawing classes at her previous company Facebook, where she helped start the Analogue group-where creatives got together and voted for what classes they would want. The group received funding to pay people in various creative circles to come and host sessions...one of them being a life model..Han wanted to practice her quick sketching, hence why she purchased me from a trip to the Tate Gallery.
One early spring evening months ago, she finished work to walk through Regents Park to capture some photo's for her instagram and you know to check the park out. Her friend had messaged her and asked where was and whom she was with....Han took me out the bag and snapped a photo of me sitting behind some purpley flowers, saying im with this hot lil guy come join us for a stroll!! Steph was in stitches laughing-she was enroute.
From that day on, Han would feature me in some of her Instagram stories and save the clip and Whatsapp them over to her other half Daniel (who is not on any social media whatsoever ever....shocking I know) he would laugh and call her brave for pulling me out in public to snap photos/mini vids. He had some sad but natural things going on in in his family and it just cheered him up- so she continued in creating these staged photos of me and videos on her Instagram to take make him chuckle.
Soon people at work would ask her what the weekend adventure was going to be,and what this doll (me) was all about. They loved me!! Their reactions were of excitement and they just saw me as unique and original (obviously). They had voted and demanded that I have my own Instagram account...and thus I became!!
I now sit in Hannah's coat pocket which are deep enough for me to hide in, or her bag. She will take me wherever she goes, whether it be hiking, camping or being in the sea - stay tuned and I shall take you through my adventures!!!
