I don't know what I want out of this website, but since I stumbled upon it I've been intrigued. Might as well give it a shot since I've got nothing to lose. I'm calling myself Helianthus because who doesn't love anonymity?
Of course upon first glance, this site screams free money and that'll draw just about anyone in, but then I started to look at it as a social media that I don't know anyone on. I can post and write freely and I no longer have to worry about friends, family, or that one guy I met at a barbecue two years ago commenting on what I have to say. Just for that I should be paying Steemit, not the other way around.
Of course I don't expect to make a dime off this site, and I'm honestly not very sure of how the whole money thing works but I'm just going to post and hope for the best. I don't go on exciting vacations, and I don't take beautiful, high quality photos, and I have yet to master the art of the selfie, but I've been through a lot and have a lot to say. It's up to you to read it or not.
